Media Operations Manager

The Media Operations Manager will play a key role on our AdOps team, supporting the sales team efforts in creating, packaging, and finalizing display media plans for our advertisers, ensuring that client’s goals/needs are met and are deliverable.

The Media Operations Manager position is ideal for a self-motivated individual that is passionate about online advertising, is comfortable working with client-facing teams, thrives in fast-paced, always-changing interactive environments and has a deep understanding of the media business and the dynamics of media - how each media element performs alone, how they perform together and how they are constantly changing.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and collaborating with the our client-facing teams (sales, strategic and account development and client services) to develop and manage display media campaigns for the national advertising team
  • Coordinating and managing the development of display media packages with our advertising operations team, confirming inventory availability for display media campaigns
  • Responding creatively and quickly to RFPs by providing efficient, thoughtful, unique, saleable and deliverable digital solutions for our sales teams that meet clients’ needs
  • Packaging our interactive property display inventory with a focus on maximizing the value of our display inventory supply
  • Maintain display media budget objectives, develop multiple media opportunities for clients’ review
  • Handle client requests – i.e. plan changes, budget changes, provide marketplace information

 

Requirements:

  • Strong familiarity in reviewing RFPs  and developing strategy and  media plans with multiple approaches and packages to meet client’s needs
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in developing strategy for interactive media campaigns, with a thorough understanding of interactive metrics and analysis, including the digital advertising process, managing RFP’s, IO’s, ad tags, survey tags and creative assets
  • Persistent focus on exceeding client’s performance goals and customer service expectations, ensuring that maximum revenue is retained, as well as partnering with colleagues to increase renewal rates, advertising spend and yield return from display ad inventory
  • Self-motivated individual with strong creative thinking, as well analytical skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of basic marketing principles and how to use qualitative and quantitative information to develop successful solutions and pitches
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, accountability and deadlines, with excellent organizational, time-management, multi-tasking and project management capabilities
  • Innovative thinker with acute awareness of managing competing initiatives
  • Seasoned communicator that is comfortable on email, phone and IM, and has ability to effectively manage communication style up, across and down a management structure, within a diversely skilled organization in multiple locations
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Demonstrated experience leading a business through change
  • Has a sense of humor, a positive attitude and thrives in fast-paced, ego-less interactive advertising sales environments where constant change is the norm and the bar for performance is set high
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills with expert Excel knowledge (e.g. complex calculations, macros)
  • Basic knowledge of Ad Servers (DFA, DFP, DSM Atlas, OAS), HTML
