Leadership Bio



TJ is a leader, entrepreneurial spirited coach that creates company growth and personnel development through process innovation, opportunity imagination, and focused execution. He founded Innovative Binding, Inc. in 1996 which grew to become the premiere on-demand hard cover book publishing company.  John sold Innovative Binding, Inc. in December 2000 and began a career at AOL. During his 8 years at different divisions of AOL/Time Warner,  John earned four promotions in interactive marketing and media revenue-generation leadership roles while gaining broad and deep expertise in both new and traditional media models at the national, regional, and local level. Brought onboard by the CEO in late 2007 to revitalize operations, John readied SaaS business Listingbook to scale nationally with a revolutionary and innovative Salesforce CRM implementation that paved the way for systems-based and metrics-driven Sales, Customer Support, and Training departments. While COO at Listingbook, he was named as one of top 100 most influential leaders in the real estate industry 3 years in row while achieving over 2000% revenue growth in one of the hardest market segments of the Great Recession. 

John’s passion for sports, media and SaaS, and entrepreneurial spirit lead him to start PLAYERSPACE. He positioned this SaaS business for a strategic PE exit to GI Partners at premium valuation and up to 10x investor returns by guiding development of a first-of-its-kind product and securing 43 of the largest 50 YMCAs as customers in a multibillion-dollar TAM.

John is a graduate of Bethany College with a B.A. in Communications. There he was a three-year starter on the varsity basketball team and a three-year member of the varsity golf team. He was born in Uniontown, Pa. He, his wife, have 4 children and now call Charleston, SC home.
